RESIDENTIAL SATISFACTION

Keeping a finger on the pulse of the community.

Property owners all deal with similar issues; one being able to retain residents and preventing surprise move-outs. As an owners, encouraging renewals from long-term residents means you are doing a good job and providing a place where they really want to make your community their home. Keeping an open line of communication is essential. Knowing how your tenants are feeling, whether good or bad, residents who feel their voices are being heard are much more likely to stick around.

ADDING AN AMENITY TO THE PROPERTY

Initially, the ground floor was a quasi-retail space that all residents passed by every day. Neighborhood Retail Group completed a void analysis and saw that there was a lack of fresh food within walking distance. Everything in proximity lead residents out of their community in order to get a quick bite to eat or groceries to cook with for meals.

NRG proposed that Borger Management modify the space to accommodate a local grocer that can provide not just their residents a convenient place to pick up goods, but the surrounding area as well.

THE RESULT

Addition of Streets Market to the Cambridge

Neighborhood Retail Group was able to secure Streets Market, a local DC store chain that provides fresh produce, groceries, meat, seafood, baked goods, coffee, tea, nutritional supplements, vitamins, pet products, flowers, household products, and more. Streets Market added the Cambridge community to their growing list of stores. Surrounded by residential buildings, it became an instant hit with all the local residents in the neighborhood.
