Neighborhood Retail Group joined WIRRE (Women in Retail Real Estate) to tour the brand new National Landing Marketing Center hosted by JBG Smith. There were several guest panelists including; Nick Freshman the restaurateur behind Spider Kelly’s, The Eleanor and most recently The Freshman; David Greenberg, Managing Partner of Greenberg Restaurant Group; Micheline Mendelsohn Luhn, Deputy CEO of Sunnyside Restaurant Group; and Amy Rice, Senior Vice President of Retail Leasing at JBG Smith. The Panel was moderated by Jill Wilson, Vice President of Asset Management at Indigo Asset Services.

National Landing: Strategic Vision for the Future

Since mid-2017, JBG SMITH has been focused on a comprehensive plan to reposition National Landing through a broad array of placemaking strategies.These include the delivery of new residential and office development, locally sourced amenity retail and thoughtful improvements to the streetscape, sidewalks, parks and other outdoor gathering spaces.

As a result of Amazon’s selection of National Landing for HQ2, JBG SMITH intends to accelerate the planning, entitlement, and development of several projects.Through innovative design and the integration of multiple uses, JBG SMITH’s investments will transform National Landing.

Throughout National Landing there will be a collection of amenity based retail comprised of local favorites and beloved national brands.Thoughtful merchandising, tenant design, community activation and place-making merge together and will offer a vibrant retail experience to all who live, work and spend time in National Landing.
